This is my most recent piece which is titled “The 3 Monkeys”….which refers to the three monkeys whose names were See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Speak No Evil.  Most people are familiar with these monkeys but for those who are not, I have tied them in with this metaphorical piece which deals with burying things or people or the past and keeping secrets or hiding unspeakable acts and thoughts….also death being a topic which few are comfortable with but is a natural part of life is also referred to with the imagery of the coffin or caisson being drawn by the horse. The shovel can symbolize both digging to bury or digging to plant and the branch, once alive, now dead, is it’s canopy.

The name tag across the back is self explanatory.
